Our cattery is born out of our love for animals and especially cats.
After we moved to our new house we decided to complete our family with a cat.
But which breed and which colour?
We both found the British shorthair very beautiful until Katja spotted a British longhair...
She loved the longhair bi-colour blue-white but they were hard to find...
Eventually it became our little devil "Juno", a well-build bicolour British shorthair.
I wanted to find a beautiful shorthaired golden shaded for myself.
In our search for golden cats we came to the conclusion that they are not all well colored and the good ones where very hard to find. But we never gave up and finally found a black silver shaded British shorthair variant who named Dana from the cattery Goldfever in the Netherlands. After looking all over the world and studying the pedigrees it bacame clear that Dana was a pure black chinchilla.
It wasn't the golden shorthair we were initially looking for but Dana carried the golden that we liked.
We were very happy and could see the potential inside her: golden, silver, shorthair, longhair and even chinchilla .....
But to breed this, we would have to breed and so we needed a cattery name etc...
In the future we hope to breed golden, silver, blue-golden and variants with stong WB read
(chinchilla dominance)
It speaks for itself that we use the perfect studs to add new blood without any loss of colour.
We also hope to add something to the overall breeding silver - golden program.
After a while we will choose which way we will further develop.
Our cats will have their first kittens when they are old enough and our vet gives us his permission.
The health and respect for our animals always comes first.
For us they are like family and we expect that the people who will want one of our kittens think the same way. Our cats grow up in the living room with us and our little children.
All our cats are under the supervision of our vet Dr. Van Der Werf Gerda
They are regularly examined, wormed, vaccinated against FeLV, cat disease and the feline upper respiratory disease. They also wear a chip and have a very beautiful pedigree.
At the age of 6 months we will know their blood type and when they are one year old we will test if they are HCM and PKD1 negative. The PKD1 DNA tests are done by VGl usa
All kittens are also vaccinated against Rabies.
Lots of joy on our homepage and we hope to meet you one day,
Gunther, Katja and family
